Valentine's Day 2017

Chocolate dipped strawberries, take 2! This year we got the chocolate at the right consistency for dipping. 

The secret was reading the directions!  I was so inattentive last year.  This year had been an improvement.

And deliciously so!!

I Changed My Mind

I prepared oatmeal for the kids this morning.  Simone ate some of hers and offered the rest to Michael and me.  I refused because, based on the time that had lapsed, I didn't think she had eaten a lot and there was most likely a lot in the bowl.  Michael also refused for his own reasons and Simone took the bowl away.

Max then gave the same offering, but this time showed his bowl to me.  It was a small enough amount that I felt like finishing it off would not make me feel fat. 

It was delicious! 

I asked Simone for her bowl, but she met my request with a scowl. 

S: "You said you didn't want any!"
M: "I changed my mind."
S: 😤
M: "So can you give me your oatmeal?"

S: "I changed my mind."

Wimpy Winter

We thankfully are having a mild winter this year!  This has been the most wintery the landscape has been.  We hope this is the coldest winter we'll have in our lives.

Weird Warm Winter Weather

It's the middle of Winter and the high today was 70°F!! We took advantage of the fact that we didn't have to wear layers to go outside and we washed the bus.
