Wok at the Campground

We got an accessory to our grill -  a wok!  Michael was most excited to use it.  He loves Asian noodles a lot so he was eager to cook lunch one afternoon!

It was delicious!  Camping food doesn't have to be just boiled water and dried food crumbles.  It can be just like home!

In addition to carefully caring for our cast iron skillet, wok and grates, we got wooden spatulas and tongs!  There is a lot of work to cooking this way, but I feel like we're preparing heirlooms for our kids.  When we croak we can give them lovingly-seasoned cookware!

  1. We've been slowly expanding our camping menu. We premade and froze some chili which was really yummy on a rainy and cooler night. We have also been making foil packets full of yummy veggies and some meat. Along with the cast iron pie/sandwich makers that we make a variety of things, including roasting some veggies. I image with a wok that will open up all kinds of new options for you. Do you have a dutch oven yet?? You need one of those for camping food for sure!
